Aluminium

Aluminium is a metal with extraordinary properties: it is light, versatile, with high mechanical characteristics, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and highly resistant to oxidation. In addition, it is infinitely recyclable, obtaining a material with identical properties to primary aluminium, but saving 95% of the necessary energy and reducing emissions by over 35%, so that recycling 1 tonne of aluminium saves 9 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.

Intelesoft manufactures billets in different alloys with diameters of 7” and 8”, using recycled raw material.

Processes

Intelesoft recycles to produce aluminium extrusion billet, mainly from the 6000 series. Metal recycling is done by selecting the aluminium through a state-of-the-art line, where cardboard, plastics, paper, wood and heavy metals are separated before the metal is melted. The aluminium is melted in high-efficiency, low-emission regenerative furnaces and the necessary elements are added to obtain the desired alloy.

The necessary composition checks are carried out using a spectrometer and the billet is produced in the diameter requested by the customer using a vertical casting table. During the casting process, the material is filtered, refined and degassed. The next process is homogenization, which is done in furnaces, where an optimum distribution of components is achieved, we improve the internal structure and the billet is ready for extrusion.

The recycling process used by Intelesoft allows energy savings of 95% compared to primary aluminium, obtaining a metal with identical mechanical properties..

Green Aluminium

The aluminium manufactured by Intelesoft is very environmentally friendly. It is green aluminium, as it is produced from aluminium scrap, previously sorted and separated through magnetic separation processes, Foucalt currents and a state-of-the-art real-time X-ray analysis system.

Intelesoft can guarantee that all the aluminium it produces is at least 85% recycled aluminium.
